Welcome to Govt. High School Taikat, Barsoo, a premier institution dedicated to fostering academic excellence and holistic development under the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh. Located in the Sankoo Zone of Kargil District, our school operates under the guidance of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil. Our Rich History & Heritage
Govt. High School Taikat holds a proud and enduring legacy of educational service spanning over five decades. Established in 1970 as a humble Primary School, the institution steadily grew to meet the growing academic needs of the region. Recognizing its vital role, it was upgraded to a Middle School in 1980, and subsequently elevated to a full-fledged High School in 1988 by the Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir. Today, registered under UDISE Code 37080600904, we continue our long-standing tradition of empowering generations through knowledge, discipline, and integrity.
